About

As a Brooklyn teenager, Drew enjoyed pottery classes at Greenwich House Pottery in NYC, but it wasn't until many years and a wide assortment of occupations and hobbies later that he returned to working in clay. Returning to the wheel at Greenwich House in 1993, he was hooked again. He soon became a Studio Technician and spent ten years learning the workings of a pottery studio while developing his throwing techniques. In addition to teaching classes for both adults and teens at Greenwich House, he also taught at Chambers Pottery, Earthworks, The West Side Y and the Craft Students' League.

Drew joined The Painted Pot in Brooklyn as Studio Manager in 2008 and was able to implement the studio management concepts he had developed. Moving to Pawling in 2013, Drew re- opened the pottery studio at Webatuck Craft Village and rebuilt the facility making it a teaching studio along with the showroom.
